About Omar Chakil
French Egyptian Lebanese artist, designer and creative consultant
Omar ‘Chakil’ El Wakil interior designed private homes for two decades around the globe before starting his work as a creator of collectible objects and functional art.
His first series exclusively made from raw Egyptian alabaster blocks sold out during Beirut’s 2019 Design Week and travelled with similar success to France, KSA, Italy and America. His work is regularly featured at prestigious international collectible design galleries including Nomad in Venice and St Moritz, Carwan in Athens and Piasa in Paris.
Upcoming projects include commissions for Dubai Expo and shows in Paris, Geneva and Cairo.
His work is increasingly solicited by collectors and architects around the globe.
